Apprentice Mechanic - Truck and Coach Technician (310T)
Location: First Student - Sarnia, ON
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Schedule: Monday to Friday, Day Shift
First Student is hiring immediately for an Apprentice Mechanic to join our shop in Sarnia, Ontario.
As an Apprentice Truck and Coach Technician (310T), you'll play a key role in keeping our fleet of school buses safe and reliable for the students who depend on us every day.

What You'll Do
- Assist in the inspection, maintenance, and repair of school buses and commercial vehicles
- Perform maintenance on brakes, suspensions, drivetrains, and transmissions
- Complete work orders and documentation
- Support mobile emergency services when needed
- Work under the supervision of licensed 310T technicians
Who We're Looking For
- Enrolled in or eligible for the 310T Truck and Coach Technician apprenticeship program
- Experience with automotive, diesel, electric, or CNG vehicles is an asset
- Valid Ontario driver's license (Class G or higher)
- Willingness to obtain a Class B license (school bus) - training provided
- Own a basic mechanic's tool set
- Motivated to learn and grow through hands-on experience and certification
