The Opportunity We are looking for a Enterprise Governance Analyst to join our Enterprise Governance team within the Chief Operations Office (COO). This role is accountable for executing control assessments for the COO’s key control inventory and supporting the delivery of an effective and efficient Risk & Control framework. You will act as a subject matter expert in risk management and control assessment programs, liaising with operations teams throughout the control assessment lifecycle and reporting.
What You’ll Do
- Execute design and operating effectiveness assessments for assigned key controls.
- Document control assessment outputs and conclusions accurately and on time.
- Provide support on ad hoc governance initiatives, including special projects and reporting activities.
- Review process documentation and perform walkthroughs to evaluate control design.
- Maintain and update control test scripts based on walkthroughs.
- Perform sample-based testing and data analysis to assess control effectiveness.
- Report findings and negotiating issues with control owners and leadership.
- Provide feedback and recommendations for improving control design and effectiveness.
- Champion a strong and continuously improving Risk & Control environment.
What You’ll Bring
- Minimum 6+ years of experience in the Property/Casualty insurance industry, preferably in risk management.
- Prior auditing experience or experience assessing processes, systems, and controls.
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to influence change and build strong relationships across business units.
- Knowledge of functional areas such as Procurement, Data, and Finance is an asset.
- Graduate degree and/or FCIP designation considered an asset; risk certifications beneficial.

What You’ll Get
- The salary band for this position ranges from $75,000 to $95,000. Please note that individual salary is determined by factors such as job-related knowledge, skills and experience, as well as internal equity.
