About the role
Required immediately, our Winnipeg Branch is seeking a Full-Time Accounting Clerk to join the team. FLOFORM Countertops is a Canadian company with its head office in Winnipeg, MB and has 16 branches and 5 manufacturing facilities located in Western Canada and the Pacific Northwest. FLOFORM manufactures, sells and installs over 20,000 premium surface countertops a year. Established in 1961, FLOFORM is proud to be one of Canada’s Best Managed Companies.
POSITION SUMMARY: The Accounting Clerk works collaboratively with branch staff to ensure proper practices and policies are being followed. Also responsible for timely completion of inventory reconciliations and partial completion of bank reconciliations.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Related secondary education with General Accounting and/or 1-2 years hands on accounting experience
- 1-2 years Inventory reconciliation an asset
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Intermediate computer skills and ability to learn new software programs
- Strong organizational skills, with exceptional attention to detail
- Well-developed problem solving and time management skills
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Subject to criminal record check
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics is an asset
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Complete inventory reconciliations on a monthly basis
- Analyze inventory reconciliation and prepare adjusting entries as required
- Work alongside branch admin to ensure proper policies and procedures are followed
- Assists accounts payable with invoice entry and filing
- Assist and back up payroll functions, including processing of commissions
- Other duties as assigned
