Job Overview
We are seeking a highly organized, proactive, and detail-oriented Jr. Warehouse Operations Lead to oversee the Customer and Warehouse Operations on a daily basis. This role requires a hands-on leader that possesses analytical, administrative, and communication skills who can also multi-task and ensure seamless coordination between Vitesse departments, clients, and frontline staff.
The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing everything from Customer inventory control, following Costs and Expenses, Customer relationships, Customer interactions & onboarding, and optimizing internal team communications. This role demands both strategic thinking and strong operational execution.
Key Responsibilities
Warehouse & Operational Oversight
- Oversee and optimize daily warehouse operations
- Manage key accounts and customer relationships
- Set up and maintain SOPs, including inspection processes and pick-and-pack workflows
- Monitor and manage inventory for multiple clients, each with specific handling requirements.
- Act as the front line between the office and warehouse floor, must have strong communication with dock staff.
- Collaborate with IT, accounting, and consulting teams to support cross-functional initiatives and system rollouts.
- Create and analyze revenue and expense reports
- Work with Warehouse Team including VP, Warehouse to assist in handling procurement and price negotiation for all warehouse and office supplies; manage POs and vendor relationships.
- Support onboarding of new clients
- Support in Interviewing candidates and assist in hiring processes, including job description creation and onboarding plans.
- Support in coordinating staff schedules, vacation tracking, and shift planning to ensure consistent coverage.
- Fill in for key staff members across roles during absences or transitions.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Has a proven experience (i.e 2 or more consecutive years) in warehouse operations, logistics, or a related leadership role.
- Strong analytical skills and comfortable working with financial data, budgets, and reporting tools.
- Ideal Candidate will have formal education (i.e. University Degree) or Degree in Supply Chain Management, or a related field required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft suite
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communicator with the ability to liaise across departments and lead by influence.
- Bilingual (English/French)
- Ability to respond in a concise manner to customers and Internal stakeholder e-mails
