Fall Internship - Private Investments - Infrastructure, Toronto

The Team

This position will be working in our Toronto office within the PrivateInfrastructure business of CBRE Investment Management. The PrivateInfrastructure team creates long-term value for its fund and separate accountclients by sourcing, acquiring and managing high-quality investments andbuilding comprehensive infrastructure portfolios. Today the dedicated team ofover 70 professionals in Toronto, London, and Sydney invest approximatelyUS$9.9 billion on behalf of institutional investors globally.

The Role

We are looking to fill a fall internshipposition to work on our investments team on a variety of private marketsresearch and investment activities. Working closely with all levels of theinvestment team, you will play an important role supporting a versatile team inmaking global investment decisions.

You will get involved in conductingindustry research, assisting with the preparation of investmentrecommendations, conducting analysis and due diligence of direct investments,co-investments and fund investments.

QUALIFICATIONS Candidates in their third, or fourth year of studies in Commerce, Finance or Business Administration, or in a related Master’s program, with a strong academic record. Exceptional written and oral communication skills, intellectual agility and the ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously. Strong skill-set in financial modelling, valuation and analytics Highly proficient in Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Further, you are an ambitious self-starter, a solid team player with a positive attitude and possess high professional and ethical standards. You endeavour to perform work beyond what is required at your level and are willing to “roll up your sleeves” in an entrepreneurial environment to get work done as necessary. You have a demonstrated ability to be resourceful and persistent in gathering and assessing information and to quickly assimilate knowledge. CBRE Investment Management carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum compensation for this position is $31.25 per hour and the maximum potential compensation for the position is $31.25 per hour. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates may also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE’s applicable benefit program.
