What to Expect: The Audio-Visual Support Engineer is responsible for managing and supporting fully integrated conference rooms, boardrooms, and large environments, such as open space Town Halls and training rooms. This role involves daily interaction with customers, acting as an extension of their team, and includes the operation and functional testing of all audio-visuals (AV) and integrated conference room equipment. Additionally, the engineer collaborates with the receiver’s IT management team to ensure that all technological needs are met, and new technologies are effectively integrated into existing systems.
A day in the life:
- Maintain AV systems in accordance with global processes to ensure full functionality and support
- Demonstrate an understanding of Microsoft Teams, Neat, Microsoft Teams Rooms, Zoom, WebEx, and other conferencing platforms
- Demonstrate an understanding of Microsoft Teams Pro Portal, Neat Pulse Portal, Teams Admin Center and other management consols
- Conduct regular testing of AV systems, including daily walkthroughs, issue escalations, and reporting
- Provide direct end-user and executive support for standard and integrated rooms and shared spaces
- Deliver training and support to business users, ensuring a "white glove" level of customer service for key leadership and events
- Escalate issues to administrators and other support teams as necessary, including vendor and backend issues
- Authorize and onboard meeting rooms in Office 365, Teams, Neat boards, and Zoom, managing device accounts and performing password resets as needed
- Initiate system updates and perform other AV-related tasks as directed by Nestlé IT and its affiliates
- Create dashboards or similar views to display insights from analytics on room performance
Role Requirements
- 4+ years of experience showcasing proficiency in audio-visual (AV) technology and effectively resolving issues related to AV equipment and video conferencing technologies, including Microsoft Teams, Neat, Zoom, and WebEx
- Post-secondary education in a relevant field, with a passion for engaging with customers while troubleshooting AV systems
- Experience in troubleshooting various issues that may arise with AV equipment and video conferencing technologies, including software (Microsoft Teams, Zoom, WebEx) and hardware (Neat, Poly Polycom, HP, Crestron, Logitech, Owl Labs, LG)
- Ability to operate independently and manage projects with minimal supervision
- Demonstrated capability to deliver installation services and provide on-site technical support to users autonomously
- Demonstrates and ability to integrate new solutions across the organization
- Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Occasional Business travel is required to provide support across Nestle Canada sites.
