Licensed Trailer Technician

The Licensed Technician is responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of company and customer equipment. Includes Dry Vans, Reefers, Heaters, Flat beds, Chassis, and specialized equipment.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Assess, diagnose, and repair; ensure work on trailers is completed as ‘quality work'; fix it right the first time.
  • Conduct a thorough inspection of trailers to identify any maintenance or repair needs
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as lubricating moving parts, replacing worn-out components, and adjusting brakes and the suspension system
  • Perform welding, fabrication, and bodywork repairs as necessary

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in trailer repair or a related field is preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Trailer Service Technician or similar role.
  • Knowledge of trailer systems, including electrical, suspension, braking, and structural components.
  • Licensed Commercial Trailer Technician Certification Required
  • Able to safely lift up to 85 pounds
