Software Developer (Student Position)

Temporary Full Time
This is a student position that is 4 months in duration for the term: January-April. You must be a student registered in a Canadian College or University. This position is for students returning to school after their work term or requiring a placement as requirements for graduation. While not required, preference will be given to students enrolled in a registered Co-op program.

This is a hybrid role, requiring the successful student to come into the office three times per week. The position can based in London, Toronto, or Winnipeg.
What you’ll do:
- Work in a fun, team-oriented virtual environment with the support of a dedicated coach or mentor.
- Contribute to the maintenance and enhancement of internal applications used by our Group Customer teams.
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle: design, development, testing, and implementation.
- Conduct functional testing to ensure application compatibility with Operating Systems and Microsoft Office upgrades.
- Collaborate with team members to design and build internal collaboration tools.
- Apply your academic knowledge to identify and support process improvement opportunities in environment and release management for technology teams.

- Back End: Java, Spring, C#/.NET Core, Node.js, Python, Ruby
- Databases: Oracle, MS SQL, MongoDB, DB2
- DevOps & Tools: Git, Jenkins, VS Code, Bash, PowerShell, GraphQL, APIs
- Other Technologies: Kafka, NiFi, VB6, C++, DataBricks on Azure
Some teams may also work with:
- Cloud & Containers: Azure, AWS, Kubernetes, PCF, Docker
- Monitoring & CI/CD: Splunk, Concourse, SonarQube, Artifactory
- Collaboration & Project Tools: Jira, Confluence
- Configuration Management: Chef, Ansible

What You Bring
- Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- A passion for learning and exploring new technologies.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
- Experience working in team environments (school, work, or volunteer).
- Previous co-op or project experience is an asset.
The base salary for this position is between $40,300 - $67,000 annually. This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation ( i.e. annual bonus, commission etc). If you are selected to move forward in our recruitment process, your recruiter will be able to discuss additional details of our total rewards program with you.
For our student opportunties, the base salary will be dependent on the number of work terms you have completed along with other factors depending on your program.
