The Role
We are currently looking for a FP&A Finance Business Partner to support the Head of Finance in the Americas to drive business performance leading to the attainment of financial targets for the region. The successful applicant will own financial analysis for global clients, complement Management Accounting support on some transactional elements and should be ready to take on leadership responsibilities as the region grows.
This is a hybrid position and will require the individual to work in the AMS office in Toronto Downtown 2 days a week
Key Accountabilities
Financial Planning
- Support the quarterly Forecasting and Annual Budgeting process
- Support Operations input into financial system and challenge assumptions and ensuring accuracy.
- Support Head of Finance (Americas) to compile forecast reports, analysis for presentation to leadership.
Month-end support
- Coordinate with Management Accountants and Operations during month-end to understand primary drivers of the performance.
- Work with Management Accountants to book necessary accruals to ensure accuracy of results.
- May be assigned Management Accounting responsibilities over some accounts. Support Head of Finance, Americas with business performance review
Project and Account Support
- Provide financial oversight and analysis over Project portfolio and other smaller accounts by working with Operational Leads to manage and track performance of the accounts from post-sales handoff to execution.
- Applicant should have a strong commercial awareness to provide financial analysis support to new accounts especially during mobilization by checking sales and pricing assumptions versus actual deployment metrics.
- Deep dive into challenged accounts to understand performance drivers, risk and recommend mitigations.
- Work with Management Accountants to analyze implementation costs to track to budget and communicate to key stakeholders.
- Support other responsibilities and ad hoc requests as may be assigned by Head of Finance (FP&A), Americas
Skills & Experience
- Minimum 6 years’ experience in Accounting is a must have
- Experience in Team management, Forecasting, Budgeting and Strategy is a must have
- CPA degree is a must have
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting -strong preferred
- Advanced MS Excel skills, Power point, and Power BI
- Strong background in finance systems
- Ability to take initiative and foster relationships with different areas of AMS
- Comfortable with KPI Reporting and Presenting to Stakeholders
- Ability to effectively collaborate with operations and other key players in a matrix organization.
- Ability to analyze trends and make deductions/insights from them - especially in the Service Industry
- Ability to show resilience and manage priorities.
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong financial modeling skills
- Strong Attention to detail
