Enchant Colony School is located along
highway 526, close to the village of Enchant. From the junction of highways 845
and 526, 8 km east on highway 526. Alternatively, from the junction of highways
25 and 526, 1.6 km west on highway 526.
1.0FTE Probationary Colony Teacher For the 2026-2027
school year, Enchant Colony School will have 23 students, grades K-9. In
addition to the teacher, the students are also supported by three educational
assistants.
Assignment
includes
1.0FTE Probationary position. The school is open Monday to Thursday, 8:50 a.m.
to 3: 25p.m and Friday - 8:50 a.m. to 12:00p.m.
The
ideal candidate will:

be
prepared to always demonstrate respect for Hutterite culture, traditions and
beliefs
-
be
able to deliver quality instruction in a many-graded inclusive classroom
-
work
effectively with an educational assistant and the colony school team
-
be
an excellent planner, with a solid understanding of curriculum and assessment
strategies
-
be
willing to complete the assessments required in a colony school (early years
literacy and numeracy assessments, Fountas and Pinnell reading assessments, EAL
Benchmarks 2.0) and prepare report cards (PowerSchool).

have
excellent personal, communication and organizational skills
-
be
able to deliver curriculum in a meaningful and culturally appropriate manner,
without the use of technology
-
cultivate
and maintain positive relationships with the German Teacher, parents and
members of the colony
-
be
flexible, creative, committed and able to work well independently, as well as
contribute positively to our team of colony teachers
-
seek
professional learning opportunities and engage in the ongoing growth of their
professional practice.
The position
commences August 20, 2026, and concludes June 29, 2027.

Horizon spans a geographic area of approximately 30,970 square kilometers, from Bulyea in the south, Wakaw in the north, Foam Lake in the east, and Viscount in the west. The division is divided into 14 Subdivisions for purposes of representation on the Board of Education.
