OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE:
We are seeking experienced OpenShift Platform Engineers to support a client project focused on building, configuring, and maintaining OpenShift clusters and infrastructure. The successful candidates will work closely with technical teams to ensure secure, reliable, and high-performing environments that meet demanding operational requirements.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING IN THE ROLE:
- Cluster Administration: Build, configure, and maintain OpenShift clusters, ensuring reliability, scalability, and performance.
- Virtualization Support: Implement and manage OpenShift-based virtualization solutions to host and run workloads efficiently.
- Network Performance: Support systems with stringent network performance requirements, optimizing configuration for throughput and reliability.
- System Maintenance: Apply patches, updates, and performance improvements to ensure secure, stable operations.
- Collaboration and Documentation: Work closely with technical teams to deliver project milestones, maintaining accurate documentation of system configurations and changes.
WHAT SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS YOU’LL NEED TO DO THE JOB:
- Proven experience as an OpenShift Platform Engineer, System Administrator, or similar infrastructure-focused role.
- Practical experience with Red Hat OpenShift or other Kubernetes-based platforms.
- Experience working with virtualization technologies, including VMware.
- Strong understanding of network performance optimization and troubleshooting in enterprise environments.
- Familiarity with core system administration and scripting practices.
- Ability to work flexibly to support project delivery requirements.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, with a collaborative approach.
