If you are an Intermediate Electrical Engineer, this is a rare opportunity to support the iconic Centre Block Rehabilitation Project in Ottawa. This position will join the team located in Thornhill or Toronto . You will be responsible for developing the design of electrical building systems through to completion of the design packages.

Your Impact

  • Design leading-edge engineering solutions for electrical and electronic building systems, including low voltage power distribution (including emergency power and UPS), lightning protection and grounding, fire detection and voice alarm, public address, passive telecommunications and security systems infrastructure, lighting and lighting controls systems, and external underground services infrastructure.
  • Develop technical drawings and specifications.
  • Collaborate in a multi-disciplinary work environment with architects, engineers, and electrical/mechanical trade contractors to arrive at integrated design solutions that are fully constructable.

The Skills That Set You Apart

  • Licensed Professional Engineer in Ontario.
  • Minimum of 5 years electrical engineering and design experience on major complex building projects; experience with large-scale, heritage-designated projects is a distinct advantage.
  • Experience working in different delivery models – CM, Design Build, P3 – is required.
  • Detailed working knowledge of Canadian Electrical Code, Ontario Electrical Safety Code, National Building Code of Canada, and Ontario Building Code.
  • Advanced understanding of LEED v4.0 and ASHRAE standards.
  • Detailed knowledge of CAN/ULC Standards for Life Safety Systems.
  • Proficient in REVIT MEP 3D modeling and MS Office applications.
  • To qualify for this role, you must be eligible for Canadian Federal Government Enhanced Reliability clearance. This is a mandatory requirement to work with this client.

Compensation BC, AB, SK, NWT & NT: $85,100 – $112,800

MB & ON: $77,700 – $107,000

Atlantic Provinces & QC: $76,900 – $102,100
