AbbVie is seeking a hands-on, experienced Pricing Finance Manager with a strong background in scenario modeling, business case development, month-end processes, and an in-depth understanding of the pharmaceutical industry. The successful candidate will be accountable for all finance pricing-related activities and will support the financial planning process, including budgeting, strategic analysis, and providing variance explanations. This role collaborates closely with Commercial Finance, GTN Finance, and Market Access teams, and will have one direct report.
Key Responsibilities
The primary responsibility of this role is to support the Market Access and GTN Finance pricing teams by developing robust financial models and scenario analyses, as well as translating contractual clauses into accurate accounting frameworks.
Job Responsibilities

Create financial models and develop alternative scenarios to evaluate and determine the pricing strategy and quantify impact in alignment with Commercial finance projections, Global Market Access Pricing Guidelines, and financial planning policies.

Strategize with Market Access Team to develop the value proposition in alignment with the strategic objectives.

Analyze, evaluate, and present various contracting proposals and make recommendations as part of the pricing and listing negotiation strategy.

Perform risk assessment, ensure financial risk and contract issues are appropriately identified, addressed and mitigated on a timely manner including contractual language.

Review and approve legal contracts and provide recommendation regarding financial clauses.

Calculate pricing impact for key planning cycles such as Plan and LRP.

Advise, support and collaborate with the Commercial Finance Leads and GTN analyst to ensure pricing and margin impacts are captured into the financial planning processes and accounted for properly.

Create, calculate and analyze all elements of P&L business case to support Global price approval.

Collaborate with various internal AbbVie functional areas to support business decisions and negotiation strategies such as FP&A, Forecasters, Trade team, Accounts receivable, Commercial, Patient Support and both field/Head office market access.

Track contracts and support invoice validation, as required.

Support month end and LBE commentaries and analysis.

Review balance sheet reconciliations and support internal and external financial audits.

Lead 1 direct report.

Ad hoc other pricing analysis and projects related to pricing.
Qualifications
- 10 + years of progressive Commercial Finance experience
- MBA or CPA.
- Strong financial modelling experience.
- Strong knowledge of pharma businesses
- Ability to drive, influence and manage change. Strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strategic thinker and communicator
- Ability to build strong relationships with peers and cross functionally and ability to influence and persuade key stakeholders.
- Proven ability to work well in a matrix and fast paced team environment.
- Hybrid requirement: minimum 3 days in office located in Ville Saint-Laurent
