About the role

Kraken Robotics is currently recruiting for a Configuration Management Specialist (Lifecycle Change Management Specialist) to join our Dartmouth, Nova Scotia office or our Rostock, Germany office.

As a Configuration Management (CM) Specialist / Lifecycle Change Management Specialist with Kraken Robotics, you will play a key role in the support, definition, and maintenance of Kraken's product portfolio. The successful applicant will be responsible for managing the baseline of Kraken’s products, maintaining records of their variation, and management of interactions between different disciplines and departments in support of product delivery. The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal & communication skills, a passion for continual improvement, and an interest in understanding how business processes interact with Product Delivery and Sustainment.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Develop and maintain product lifecycle baseline documentation related to Kraken products, track changes, and drive transparency of change requirements. Coordinate and chair weekly meetings related to Product Configuration and management of change related risk. Facilitate the Engineering Change Management Process and ensure accuracy of Engineering Change Records. Maintaining clear progress reporting on related actions, change effectivity logs, performance metrics, and definition of documentation packages for release to production. Support the alignment of corporate configuration management processes, procedures, and best practices throughout the organization. Conduct routine functional and physical configuration auditing to ensure that products are compliant with expected product definition documentation.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE Bachelor of Engineering, Diploma in Engineering Technology, Bachelors of Technology, or educational background in a technology related area supported by industry experience. Capacity to interpret engineering related documentation and drawings required. Experience with production Assembly, Quality, and Engineering documentation considered an asset. Experience in the use Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Packages considered an asset. Experience in the use Product Data Management (PDM) and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) Packages considered an asset. Experience with Configuration Management or Change Management Organizational practices considered an asset but not required. Exposure to ASME EIA649 or equivalent considered an asset but not required. Strong Interpersonal, analytic, and problem-solving skills are essential, as well as written and oral communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft office suite required. Ability to work on tight deadlines, prioritize workloads, with a high level of accuracy considered an asset.
