About the role
Residential Architectural Technologist
We are looking for experienced Residential Architectural Technologists and Building Designers to support active residential redevelopment projects.
We currently have projects requiring feasibility, concept planning, site planning, and early design support for ADUs, garden suites, secondary suites, duplexes, fourplexes, multiplexes, and small infill developments.
This is contract, project-based work with the opportunity for ongoing assignments.
What We Need Help With
Depending on the project, assignments may include: Reviewing the property, zoning, lot dimensions, and site constraints Preparing an existing site plan from available survey, RPR, GIS, or municipal information Preparing a concept site plan Recommending a realistic development option Outlining number of units, unit sizes, parking, access, and general building size Preparing preliminary floor plan concepts Identifying major zoning, design, access, servicing, or permitting risks Supporting early feasibility reports for property owners
This is not intended to be full architectural permit work at the feasibility stage. Permit drawing experience is an asset, but the immediate need is concept planning and feasibility support.

Requirements
Residential design, drafting, or architectural technology experience Strong understanding of local residential zoning and municipal requirements Ability to prepare clean site plans and early concept layouts Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, or similar design software Ability to work independently on a contract/project basis Good communication and reliable turnaround times

Compensation
Project-based compensation will be discussed with shortlisted candidates based on experience, project type, scope, and turnaround time. We are looking for direct relationships with experienced residential design professionals, not intermediaries or agencies.
