What this role is all about: We are looking for a Assistant Branch Manager (ABM) to join our River Point branch in Prince George for a temporary term of 12-months covering a maternity leave. The ABM supports Beem's vision of sales and service excellence by developing and facilitating a professional team that is efficient and effective in serving member needs and achieving branch goals and objectives. Use your strong communication, leadership, and initiative to support the Branch Manager in creating a high‑performing, positive team environment. You will coach, train, and mentor the branch to achieve strong results, while developing and executing monthly business plans aligned with corporate strategy.

You will coach, train, and mentor Member Service Advisors and Tellers to achieve strong results, while developing and executing monthly business plans aligned with corporate strategy. With the ability to work well under pressure and a keen attention to detail, you will ensure all staff consistently deliver high service standards.
What you’ll do:
- Active involvement in working with other channels (e.g. online, Member Service Centre, etc.) in support of servicing members
- Oversee branch security as it relates to safety, premises and fire alarms; perform as the branch contact with Security, Fire Departments and RCMP
- Ensure adherence to corporate policies and procedures
- Adhere to Branch Compliance and Audit Responsibilities
- Administer cash holdings within the control of the branch - GLs, cash limits, cash orders, insurance limits, custody requirements, etc.
- Administer the Terms & Conditions of employment as they apply to employees in the branch including but not limited to progressive discipline
- You will be responsible for the completion and/or delegation of the day-to-day administrative duties in the branch
- Provide bi-weekly coaching to your team by following the coaching model
- Assist the Branch Manager to manage controllable expenses and branch budget
- Actively participate in problem solving to assist in making decisions, implement solutions and adopt changes
What you’ll bring:
- 4-6 years of job-related experience in a financial sales and services environment
- High School diploma/Grade 12, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Supervisory experience
- Comprehensive understanding of credit products and procedures
- Knowledgeable in a full range of investment and lending products

Compensation Annual salary range: $77,400 to $82,000
