Location: 1351 Bloomington Rd E, Richmond Hill, Ontario
Position Type: Permanent Full-Time
Reporting to: Site Manager
Start Date: Immediately
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am–6:00pm. Rotational Saturdays, 7:00am-3:00pm.
Compensation: $21.00 per hour

Summary:
We are looking for a highly capable Retail Area Loader Operator to join our team, based in Richmond Hill, ON. The ideal candidate will have experience operating heavy equipment in a safe and efficient manner, with a strong understanding of site safety protocols and daily maintenance procedures. This role is key to supporting our operations by ensuring materials are loaded, moved, and handled with precision and care.
Responsibilities:
In the position of Retail Area Loader Operator, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Must adhere to Miller Waste System safety protocols and must be familiar with occupational Health & Safety Act.
- Assist in bagging product for sale.
- Ability to work in cooperation with other equipment operators, staff and customers.
- Inspect and remove obvious contamination from loads.
- Ensure Personal Protective Equipment is worn.
- General housekeeping duties, yard clean up, Punctual with good attendance.
- Ensure you aware of and always work within MWS’s safety guidelines.
- Inspecting the workplace for hazardous and/or potentially hazardous conditions.
- Ensure that all work is performed safely, cost effectively and in a timely manner.
- Additional tasks as required by management.
Competencies & Qualifications:
Preference will be given to individuals who have completed the Miller Waste Systems loader training course or have possession of a Heavy Equipment Certificate:
- Previous heavy equipment experience would be an asset.
- Valid G Drivers Licence required.
- Valid First Aid and WHMIS certification would be an asset.
- Mechanical aptitude and knowledge of equipment pre-operative checks is a must.
- Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Effective written and verbal communication is mandatory.
- Excellent attendance and performance record.
- Exceptional reputation for working well alongside colleagues and management.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs and perform outside work in extreme seasonal conditions.
