LILLOOET SECONDARY SCHOOL 1.0 FTE Term Certain – Engl First Peoples 11/12, French 8/9, Foods 11/12, Careers 10 Commencing as soon as possible to December 31, 2025 or return of the incumbent Posting Open Date: 10:00 a.m., October 16, 2025 Posting Close Date: 10:00 a.m., October 30, 2025 enrols approximately 210 students in Grades 8 through 12, of which 72% are of Indigenous ancestry. Lillooet Secondary is located in thewhich lies on the unceded and traditional territory of the St'at'imc First Peoples. The school'sguides the work of the school.

Requirements And Qualifications The successful applicant must have or be eligible for certification to teach in British Columbia and possess:

  • Qualifications and/or experience in the teaching area/grade level posted;
  • Knowledge of the BC curriculum and competencies;
  • Strong assessment practices, including assessment as and for learning;
  • Successful experience integrating local Indigenous culture and traditions into curriculum, or familiarity with and understanding of local Indigenous culture and commitment to integrate it into the curriculum;
  • The ability to use a variety of teaching and learning strategies to accommodate the learning needs of all students;
  • Successful experience integrating experiential, on-the-land and/or inquiry learning opportunities into the curriculum;
  • A proven ability to develop a positive learning environment in the classroom and evidence of strong organization and classroom management skills;
  • A commitment to and successful experience working collaboratively in a team setting;
  • A commitment to and demonstrated experience using and integrating technology into the curriculum;
  • The ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with students, staff, parents, and the greater

community.

The salary range for full-time teaching positions within Gold Trail School District is $60,076 to $109, 520, with placement in accordance with provisions in the Collective Agreement.
