About the role
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- General lawn care including planting, hedging, pruning, weeding of flower beds
- Laying sod, mowing, trimming, fertilizing of grass
- Planting, trimming, fertilizing of plants and trees
- Pruning of the bushes
- Watering of grass, flowerbeds and trees
- Spring and fall clean-up
- Garbage pick-up and removal from sites and vacant suites indoor and outdoor on a daily basis
- Snow removal, clear snow away from the steps, sidewalks, parking lots and entrances of the buildings
- Spread salt on ice, ensure outside areas are not hazardous or slippery
- Removing furniture and left items from the suites when required
- Paint parking lot lines
- Clean up all gravels from parking lot
- Make sure all machines and equipment are well maintained
- Clean up storage rooms when required
- Other related duties as assigned by manager
Qualifications and Requirements
- Able to work outside in all weather
- Able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs
- Able to use various tools- snow blowers, landscaping and ground maintenance equipment
- Must possess valid driver's license
- Must successfully complete a security clearance
- Must be able to communicate effectively and be able to follow direction
- Must be able to work on own and have good time management skills
