Tasks/Responsibilities
The HPC/AI Infrastructure Manager will be responsible for the operations of infrastructures related to high-performance computing clusters and data centers. The manager will have a strategic and technical role to ensure the good performance of the environment.
MORE PRECISELY
- Responsible for managing HPC (High Performance Computing) clusters and associated operations (architecture, deployment, maintenance, performance)
- Implement best practices related to infrastructure and networking operations (monitoring, incident management, etc.)
- Manage budgets (several millions) and vendors (negotiate agreements and contracts)
- Ensure the security of infrastructure, data, and all systems related to the computing clusters
- Support the team in developing skills and implementing best practices
- Lead numerous projects related to computing clusters, infrastructure, storage, networking, and security
- Monitor technology developments related to the industry and artificial intelligence
PROFILE
- 10+ years of infrastructure experience (ideally in an HPC environment) in a leadership role
- Experience required in high-performance computing (HPC) cluster environments and infrastructure (Linux, distributed computing environments)
- Very good knowledge of Slurm, Lustre, BeeGFS, InfiniBand, artificial intelligence, automation technologies, etc.
- HPC certification or in a related field (asset)
- Autonomy, communication skills, popularization, and team spirit
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent
- Bilingualism required (French and English)
