As we expand our operations across Canada, the USA, Chile, and Australia, a unique opportunity awaits for a skilled Senior Composite Technician to become a key part of our dynamic team in Port Alberni, BC, contributing to world-class aerial firefighting operations.

The Senior Composite Technician is a unique role responsible for the inspection, repair, and maintenance of composite materials used in the construction or repair of aircraft and special projects, such as vehicles. The Senior Composite Technician ensures that all repairs and modifications meet regulatory safety standards, manufacturer specifications and the highest quality standards.

What You Bring:

  • 5+ years in a senior or advanced composite role
  • Automotive finishing composites experience, including carbon fiber, is an asset
  • Familiarity with industry-standard tools and equipment, including vacuum bagging systems, autoclaves, and hand tools

What You’ll Do:

  • Perform advanced composite repairs and maintenance on aircraft and specialty vehicles using a variety of techniques
  • Interpret blueprints and technical manuals with precision to achieve desired results
  • Collaborate across teams to meet project goals, deadlines, as well as quality and safety standards
  • Maintain detailed documentation of work performed, inspections, and material usage
  • Stay current with composite technologies, materials, and industry best practices
  • Ensure compliance with environmental regulations, safety standards, and company procedures
