Front End & Inventory Management Lead
Position Purpose:
The Front End & Inventory Management Lead is responsible for the day to day identifying of Profit Erosion opportunities through detailed analysis of SAP/ BI reporting. The incumbent must possess a strong retail operational knowledge and be competent within the SAP environment. The incumbent will be proficient with their understanding of our front-end systems, and ensure that Asset Protection is at the table during all discussions involving front-end processes and changes within this scope. The incumbent will support the District Operations Managers with their Physical Inventory Submissions, and help deep dive into high shrink / swell opportunities after the Physical Inventory has been taken.
Responsibilities
- Ensure Asset Protection is at the table for all Front end changes
- Support District Operations Managers with Inventory Submissions by physically entering high dollar situations to Inventory Accounting.
- Daily monitoring and correction through the District Operations Managers of profit erosion opportunities linked to various process anomalies
- Accountable for various P and L account lines relating to front end processes
- Supporting the Forensics and Reporting team with various projects
- Developing and monitoring of exception based reporting for the front end
Job Requirements
- Excellent communication skills and comfort around all levels
- Strong analytics ability to manipulate data and come to conclusions and make recommendations
- Statistics and Finance knowledge/awareness
- Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Powerpoint, Access, etc.)
- Strong SQL Knowledge (Teradata, DB2, etc.) a plus
- Customer Service oriented
- Understanding of Home Depot’s current business processes (in store, Store Support, Supply Chain, Inventory, Merchandising, etc.) a plus
