The Parking Attendant role is crucial to the flow of traffic throughout our busy campus. The Parking attendant duties include the following:
- Issue parking passes by providing high level of customer service for visitors, staff and patients within the parking department.
- Responsible for proper function of cash register, computer and all other equipment related to business operation.
- Accurately collect, balance and report sales following departmental procedures on a daily basis.
- Prepares and submit daily deposits as per departmental procedure
- Take steps to resolve customer concerns/problems as required.
- Post transaction reports in the database as per departmental policy
- Works in parking booths when the need arise
- Issue warning or ticket to those in violation of parking restrictions
- Direct traffic and work at the valet service booth when assigned.
Qualifications/Skills:
- Have MLEO license
- Successful completion of secondary school required
- Proficiency with computer applications
- Minimum of 1 year experience interacting with patients in a health care setting required
- Ability to work with minimal supervision, sense of urgency, customer/client focused
- Ability to work under pressure and multi-task
- Demonstrated good communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to lift patients and to meet the physical demands of the position (standing and walking for extended periods of time) Understand the requirements of Infection Control & Prevention; the Health & Safety Act
