About the role

Education: No degree, certificate or diploma. Work site environment: Hog and pig farming. Work setting: Staff accommodation available. Remote location. Willing to relocate. Tasks: Diagnose livestock health issues. Handling animals. Monitoring animal health. Perform livestock feeding. Perform pig littering activities such as clipping needle teeth, docking tails, administering iron and other medication(s), identification of piglets, and castration. Treat livestock health issues. Feed and tend animals. Ensure farm safety and bio-security procedures are followed. Maintain livestock performance records. Clean stables, barns, barnyards and pens. Perform general farm duties. Set and monitor water lines, air flow and temperature in barns, pens and chicken coops. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment. Work under pressure. Physically demanding.
