POSITION DESCRIPTION
The Quality & Logistics Manager is a key leadership role responsible for championing both our internal quality standards and our external customer experience. This role ensures that our commitment to operational excellence translates directly into quality product delivery and outstanding customer satisfaction. Reporting to the Operational Excellence Manager, you will own the ISO 9001 Quality Management System (QMS) while leading a dedicated logistics and customer service team.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Quality & ISO 9001 Management, system ownership, audit management, continuous improvement & process standardization.
- Customer Support & Satisfaction, overall customer experience, metrics tracking & escalation management
- Technical Coordination, coordinate routine sampling and testing, coordinate with other entities, coordination with internal operational excellence team, as well as sales and marketing
- Team Leadership & Logistics Oversight, oversight of the Logistics and Customer Service Coordinator, logistics alignment and culture building.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Quality Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: 5+ years of progressive experience in Quality Management, Operations, or Customer Service, with at least 2 years in a leadership or people-management role.
- Experience in wood fibre properties and fiber morphology such as papermaking and forestry is an asset.
- ISO Expertise: Proven, hands-on experience managing ISO 9001 certifications and audits (ISO 9001 auditor certification is highly preferred).
- Analytical Skills: Strong foundation in problem-solving methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma).
- Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to navigate difficult customer conversations and present data clearly to leadership.
- Travel: Some international travel will be required for customer engagements
SALARY
The salary for this position is $105,000.00-$158,800.00. Salary will be commensurate with education and experience.
