WD Co-Auto is looking for an Accounting Clerk
to join our Edmonton office. This is a great opportunity for someone who thrives in a cross functional environment, enjoys keeping things organized, staying on task, and takes pride in supporting accounting team, clients and vendors behind the scenes.
Location:
- This full-time, permanent role is based in Edmonton.
Ideal Candidate:
- Detail-oriented and organized – You’re the person who notices when something’s off and takes action to fix it. You like structure, accuracy, and keeping systems running smoothly.
- Process-focused – You understand the importance of clean and accurate data entry and follow-through. You work efficiently and take ownership of your tasks.
- Comfortable supporting both internal teams and customers – You’re happy to hop on the phone or respond to an email when needed, and you work well with clients, vendors, sales and warehouse teams alike on accounts receivable and payables.
- Calm under pressure – You manage your time effectively and can juggle multiple priorities without getting flustered.
- Strong communicator and tech-savvy – You know how to keep things moving through email, phone, and ERP tools like NetSuite, and you’re quick to learn new systems.
What You’ll Do:
Accounts Receivable:
- Set up new customer accounts
- Record customer payments and reconcile accounts
- Prepare and send customer invoice and account statements
- Monitor customer accounts for outstanding balances and follow up on overdue payments
- Assist in resolving billing discrepancies and customer inquiries
- Maintain shareholder and affiliate documents
Accounts Payable:
- Review invoices for accuracy and compliance with policies
- Match purchase orders, invoices, and receipts to ensure accuracy
General Accounting Support:
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing
- Maintain organized financial documentation
- Support yearly audit activities
- Support accounting team with other duties as assigned/vacation coverage
What You’ll Bring:
- A diploma, or equivalent, in Accounting
- Working knowledge of accounting principles
- 1-3 years of experience in an accounting role is an asset
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel)
- Proficiency in NetSuite, or a similar ERP, is an asset
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team
