This is a full-time, permanent opportunity at our brand-new Grande Prairie branch. The role is located at9036 108 St, Grande Prairie, AB, T8V 4C8.
Why this role matters
In this role, theAccount Managerwill focus on building strong customer relationships in the Grande Prairie region by identifying opportunities, supporting customer needs, and providing accurate, up-to-date product information. They will recommend the best product solutions based on industry knowledge and work toward achieving organizational sales targets while delivering the exceptional customer experience E.B. Horsman & Son is known for.
What to expect in the role
-**New market development:**With the launch of our Grande Prairie branch, you will help grow our presence in a developing territory by building relationships, identifying opportunities, and supporting customers with trusted solutions. -**Customer relations:**An approachable demeanour and a positive, customer-first attitude are essential as you develop new accounts and expand existing relationships. -**Solution-oriented:**You will be challenged with unique customer requests that require creative thinking and a solutions-driven approach. -**Open communicator:**Strong verbal and written communication skills are key to providing clear updates to customers, including product information and changes. -**Time management:**As the business continues to grow, you will operate in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities. -**Continuous learner:**Previous electrical experience is an asset; however, ongoing product training will be provided to support your development. -**Driving sales:**Analyze and leverage data to evaluate accounts, identify revenue opportunities, and drive sales growth. -**Presenter:**You may be required to lead presentations and facilitate meetings. -**Going above and beyond:**At times, you may need to support customers outside regular branch hours via phone or email to build networks and relationships. Occasional overnight travel may be required.
Ideal candidate profile
- Post-secondary certificate or diploma in a relevant area, Red Seal Electrician, or Apprentice Electrician.
- 3+ years of experience in the electrical, instrumentation, or mechanical industry
- Previous outside sales or inside sales experience
- High level of professionalism grounded in integrity, with strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Outside Sales experience in the electrical, instrumentation, or mechanical industry
- Proven ability to build relationships, form strategic partnerships, and work effectively across diverse groups
- Valid driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle, as travel is required (vehicle allowance provided)
- Intermediate computer skills, including strong proficiency in MS Office, experience with ERP systems, and the ability to learn new software
