  • Opportunity to receive an official CCS letter of reference
  • Make a positive impact
  • Join a young, creative, and exciting team!

Your commitment

The commitment to this Advisory Committee will be approximately 5 hours per month from November 2025 to February 2026. This involvement will include the tasks and responsibilities you are assigned as well as meetings with our Canadian Cancer Society support staff and a monthly virtual meeting with all committee members in addition to our Canadian Cancer Society support staff. These meetings will serve as opportunities for you to receive main objectives from CCS Staff and give you an opportunity to explain and delegate these tasks to your full committee. There is an opportunity to volunteer more hours in during this period as the program continues to expand and explore new opportunities. There is a potential to extend involvement past February, if the successful applicant is interested in a longer commitment.

About Canadian Cancer Society

Non-profit Organizations
1001-5000

What does it take to take on cancer? It takes all of us.

We all know the saying ‘It takes a village.’ But to take on cancer, it takes more than a village. We believe it takes a society. It takes a community – of patients, caregivers, healthcare providers, researchers, advocates, donors, supporters and volunteers – rallying together around a shared cause.

Profound impact is possible when we combine our actions with the actions of others. Our goal at the Canadian Cancer Society is to inspire people of all ages, from all backgrounds and all parts of the country to come together to take on cancer’s biggest issues.

Nothing big gets solved by one person. To take on cancer, it takes all of us. It takes a society. 💛
