Leveraging the power of television, digital media, and production, Kingstar has established itself as the premium performance media agency in Canada. We are a full-service performance media buying agency that specialize in direct response solutions that help our clients reach Canadian and international consumers.
Position Summary
The Media Research Analyst will manage data collection and analysis, providing insights and reports from the collected data to media managers and clients.
Responsibilities
-
Collect and format raw data post logs from TV channel sources, input into post log dashboard and ensure all information is accurate.

Collect and format web/phone data for clients, and input into CoreDirect software.
-
Complete ad-hoc reporting requests from media managers on a weekly basis.
-
Consistent use of Excel for all reporting/data collection.
-
Manage client dashboard and provide feedback to programming team on potential improvements.

Understand/interpret audience metrics from Numeris.
-
Meeting tight deadlines for all weekly client clearance reports.
-
Revising older reports by working with the accounting team after reconciliation has been completed.
-
Prepare for upcoming week(s) by setting up report templates on CoreDirect.

Understand station weighting, web/phone attribution and how both aspects can vary depending on the client.

Communicate with networks and vendors to maintain positive relationships and to ensure you get everything required on time.

Continue to evolve and find ways to increase efficiency across the board as well as improving weekly insights to clients.
Qualifications
Education:
-
College/University degree
Experience:
-
Minimum 3 years experience in data, research, and audience interpretation
-
Experience with data manipulation and data processing
-
Able to extract valuable insights from data
-
Analytical thinker with knowledge of MS Excel and MS PowerPoint
Required:

Succinct written communication
-
The ability to adjust priorities and manage time wisely in a fast-paced/deadline-based work environment

Time management
-
Rigorously detail oriented
Desired:

Experience with PowerBI is a plus but not required

Love of data and analysis
-
Experience with Infosys+ TV (Numeris)
