Maintenance & Facilities Supervisor
Location: Concord, Ontario
Day Shift Only!
Compensation: $45 – $48/hour + overtime + profit share bonus (OT paid after 40 hours)
We’re actively hiring a Maintenance & Facilities Supervisor to oversee building infrastructure, facility systems, and contractor activities within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
This role focuses primarily on facility operations and property maintenance , ensuring critical building systems such as HVAC, chillers, boilers, cooling towers, and compressed air systems operate reliably and efficiently. The position will also lead preventative maintenance programs, manage subcontractors, and support facility improvement projects.
This opportunity is ideal for someone with strong experience managing industrial facility systems, building infrastructure, and external contractors in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
Key Responsibilities
Maintenance & Facilities Leadership
- Supervise and support a team of 4 maintenance employees
- Provide leadership, coaching, and performance reviews
- Assist with maintenance planning, scheduling, and project coordination
- Support maintenance leadership with operational priorities
Facility Systems Oversight
- Manage and maintain building systems including: -HVAC systems -Chillers -Boilers -Cooling towers -Air compressors
- Electrical distribution infrastructure
- Ensure facility systems operate efficiently to support plant operations
- Coordinate preventative and predictive maintenance activities
Contractor & Vendor Management
- Manage subcontractors performing work inside and outside the facility
- Coordinate contractors responsible for HVAC, mechanical systems, electrical infrastructure, and property maintenance
- Ensure contractor work is scheduled, completed on time, and properly documented
- Obtain and review multiple quotes for repairs, maintenance work, and capital projects
Preventative Maintenance Programs
- Oversee and improve the preventative maintenance (PM) program
- Adjust PM schedules and checklists to improve system reliability
- Conduct audits to ensure maintenance tasks are completed
- Track maintenance performance and identify opportunities to reduce downtime
Capital Projects & Facility Improvements
- Support large-scale facility upgrades and infrastructure projects
- Assist with capital planning related to building systems and facility improvements
- Coordinate contractor work during planned shutdowns
- Identify opportunities to improve facility efficiency and reliability
Compliance & Audits
- Maintain documentation supporting quality, environmental, and facility audits
- Participate in internal and external audit processes
- Ensure safety and maintenance standards are consistently maintained
Qualifications
-5+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
Strong knowledge of building systems including:
- HVAC
- Chillers
- Boilers
- Cooling towers
- Compressed air systems
- Experience managing subcontractors and external vendors
- Experience obtaining multiple quotes for repairs and capital projects
- Strong electrical and mechanical maintenance knowledge related to facility infrastructure
- Experience managing preventative maintenance programs
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to respond to after-hours facility issues when required
Technical Background
-Industrial Electrician, Industrial Mechanic, or equivalent technical certification
- Experience supporting facility infrastructure in an industrial or manufacturing environment
Preferred
- Experience working within manufacturing environment
- Exposure to facility modernization or efficiency improvement initiatives
