Reporting to the Manager of Projects, the Project Manager/Estimator will lead project teams in executing multi-disciplinary construction projects across Alberta, Saskatchewan, and British Columbia.
The Project Manager/Estimator will be responsible for developing cost models and schedules, tracking project costs, managing procurement and subcontractor activities, and ensuring alignment with overall project goals. This role will also be involved in daily operations—planning, conducting inspections, monitoring progress and costs—and collaborating with owners and consulting engineers to resolve issues or changes.
Strong communication is essential, as the Project Manager/Estimator will liaise with clients, subcontractors, and field teams to ensure smooth project execution and adherence to timelines.
How You’ll Add Value
- Supervise the execution of various construction projects, including the construction and rehabilitation of bridges and other multi-disciplinary works ensuring alignment with defined project goals
- Estimate projects and project change orders
- Assist in the direction of project teams through clear communication, coordination, and follow-ups
- Establish project procedures that aligned with contractual documents and the HSE Manual
- Ensure work meets technical specifications and contractual requirements
- Create, track and support project schedules and budgets, ensuring alignment with defined objectives
- Conduct on-site inspections to assess conditions, risks, and activities beyond tender documents.
- Participate in on site meetings with clients, stakeholders, sub-trades, suppliers, and team members
- Collaborate with field teams to ensure safe operations, steady project progression, and optimized service delivery
What You Bring
Experience in Heavy Civil Construction is preferred.
- Post-Secondary Degree/Diploma in Engineering or Construction Management or related discipline.
- Knowledge of construction process, construction drawings, specifications, schedules, budgets, and project management methodologies.
- Project Management Professional Certification (PMP) is an asset.
- Proficient using the complete Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
- Good verbal and written communication abilities.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team in an office and on project sites.
- Must possess a valid Class 5 driver’s license with a clean abstract
- Experience with Estimating and Project Management software preferred.
Note: Pre-employment Drug and Alcohol Testing will be required.

Our teams work year-round to service the provincial highway network, ensuring roads, bridges, and culverts remain safe and accessible.
