Graham is actively recruiting a BIM Specialist to support the Buildings Division. Reporting to the BIM Manager, this role provides advanced virtual design and construction support across multiple projects within a regional office. The BIM Specialist is responsible for implementing, coordinating, and optimizing BIM/VDC processes from preconstruction through project delivery, serving as a technical subject-matter expert to ensure workflows, technologies, and schedules align with project objectives. The role also includes mentoring project teams and trade partners and collaborating with the BIM/VDC Lead to develop project templates, workflows, and training materials.
Your Role in Building What Matters – From Office to Site
- Lead and manage federated BIM models and enforce project-specific BIM Execution Plans from preconstruction through delivery
- Facilitate BIM/VDC coordination, including clash detection, 4D scheduling, and model-based site logistics to support project execution
- Support field and project teams with model-based reviews, mobile access to data, and ongoing technical support
- Provide estimating, cost, and proposal support using model-derived data for QTOs, sequencing, and risk identification
- Mentor BIM/VDC coordinators and project teams, drive process improvement, and support Project Managers with informed, data-driven decision-making
The Right Tools for the Job
**Education & Experience:**Post‑secondary education in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field, with 5+ years of progressive BIM/VDC experience supporting complex construction projects from preconstruction through execution
**Technical Skills:**Advanced proficiency in BIM/VDC tools and workflows, including federated models, clash detection, 4D scheduling, model‑based quantity take‑offs, and digital coordination across multidisciplinary teams
**Leadership & Communication:**Proven ability to lead coordination efforts, mentor BIM/VDC coordinators and project teams, and clearly communicate technical information to non‑technical stakeholders
