About the Role
Southland Trailers is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Janitor to support the cleanliness, organization, and overall appearance of our facilities. This role is critical in maintaining a safe, professional, and welcoming environment for all team members and visitors across office and production areas.
The successful candidate will take ownership of cleaning and upkeep across offices, cafeterias, gym spaces, boardrooms, and both office and shop bathrooms, while also managing cleaning supply inventories to ensure all areas are consistently stocked and maintained.
**What You'll Do:**Perform daily cleaning of:
- Offices and administrative areas
- Boardrooms and meeting spaces
- Cafeterias and lunchrooms
- Team member gym and common areas
- Office and shop washrooms
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and sanitize floors and surfaces
- Dust furniture, fixtures, and equipment
- Clean and disinfect high-touch areas (door handles, railings, switches, etc.)
- Empty garbage and recycling bins; transport waste to designated disposal areas
- Replenish supplies (soap, paper towels, toilet paper, etc.) across all facilities
- Monitor and manage cleaning supply inventory across all locations
- Track usage and maintain appropriate stock levels
- Coordinate reordering of supplies as needed
- Ensure storage areas remain organized and controlled
- Maintain cleanliness standards in both office and industrial/shop environments
- Identify and report maintenance issues, safety concerns, or supply shortages
- Support periodic deep cleaning tasks and special cleaning projects
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures
What We're Looking For
- Previous janitorial or cleaning experience preferred
- Experience managing inventory or supplies is considered an asset
- Valid driver's license and access to a reliable personal vehicle required
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, and demonstrate strong ownership and accountability
- Sharp attention to detail with pride in delivering quality, thorough work
- Good time management, organizational skills, and consistent, punctual attendance
- Effective resource management to ensure supplies are maintained and operations run without interruption
- Positive attitude and genuine respect for all team members and shared spaces
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks including standing, bending, and lifting
- Comfortable working in both office and industrial environments
