Booking Assistant (Part-Time)
Brookfield Residential YMCA at Seton

Start Date: Immediately
Salary: $16.40/hr - $20.15/hr

  • The successful candidate will be flexible and available to work 20 hours per week from Friday to Sunday.

What qualifications are we looking for?

At YMCA Calgary we strive to ensure our employees are a fit based on their strengths, interests, and future goals. The successful candidate will have the following;

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in accounting procedures and office administration;
  • Competent computer skills including Word and Excel and ability to learn new systems quickly;
  • Able to multi-task and demonstrate strong time-management skills;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Three professional references;
  • Evidence of a clear Police Information Check with Vulnerable Sector Search.

What does this role look like at YMCA Calgary?

Duties and responsibilities include:

  • Support with the booking process of large-scale sporting events, rentals, and theatre events that includes

receiving and generating bookings, collecting payment, registering participants, pre-event coordination

and post-event follow up;

  • Coordinate all event related activities, including various logistics such as: setup and take down per event

specifications, audiovisual equipment, displays, floor plans, and signage

  • Prepare and distribute event requirements (event sheets, contracts, technical requirements, floor plans)
  • Onsite liaison between YMCA Calgary departments and clients on event days
  • Provide appropriate information on program offerings, services, facility layout, rental applications, and

emergency procedures

  • Use conflict resolution and problem solving with user groups, space, times, facility usage, and etc;
