Senior Quality Control Analyst - Belron Canada

The Senior Quality Assurance Analyst works closely with the QA Manager on the company’s strategic projects. They play an active role within the QA team by ensuring that best QA practices are consistently applied across all initiatives. They assist the Manager in developing testing strategies and are actively involved in the implementation and advancement of automated testing techniques across various projects.
The Senior QA Analyst contributes to strategic projects by ensuring a solid functional understanding of business requirements and acting as a liaison between business units and developers.
They are responsible for preparing, executing, and validating test scenarios and test cases, ensuring that applications ready for production meet the required specifications.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Business Analysts and the QA Coordinator to define testing strategies for various projects.
- Contribute to the documentation of test scenarios and test cases.
- Support other specialists in defining scopes (stories, releases, sprints, projects, tests).
- Assist in incident management within their scope.
- Participate in the continuous improvement of QA processes.
- Monitor industry trends and provide recommendations within their area of expertise.
- Help develop testing strategies for new applications and projects.
- Write, execute, and/or monitor test scenarios based on development specifications.
- Perform regression testing to ensure changes do not impact related functions or projects.
- Analyze bugs and clearly define the conditions that caused them.
- Execute backend tests to validate data in databases.
- Write and execute automated tests.
- Improve the automated testing framework.
- Participate in the selection and development of automated testing frameworks for new or existing projects.
Requirements
- College diploma in Information Management or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 6 to 12 years of relevant experience in a similar role
- Bilingual (French and English), spoken and written
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Knowledge of HTML, JSON, SQL, etc. (an asset)
- Experience with tools such as Azure DevOps, Postman, Selenium, Jenkins, Cypress
- Solid understanding of Agile continuous delivery
- Strong attention to detail and thoroughness
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills
- Team-oriented with a flexible mindset
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
