About the role
Tomlinson Environmental Services is seeking a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment to work as a Scale Operator at our Carp location. This role plays a key part in ensuring accurate vehicle weighing, ticketing, and customer service, contributing directly to the success of our operations.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Deliver courteous and professional service to customers and team members on-site and by phone.

Operate the scale and tracking system to weigh incoming and outgoing vehicles.

Maintain precise records, ensure ticket data integrity and process payments (cash, debit, credit).
-
Provide pricing information to residential customers over the phone.

Monitor site access and ensure safety protocols are followed
-
Communicate with the onsite team to direct traffic and ensure efficient operations
-
Generate transaction reports, reconcile payment records and prepare operational and customer reports.

Collaborate with our Customer service department.

Take on other duties as assigned to support site operations.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Office-style setting with independent responsibilities.

Regular interaction with customers and resolution of inquiries or complaints.

Weekend and statutory holiday availability required.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Strong computer literacy and organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Valid driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle.
