Position: Full -Time Lead Hand Security Guard
Site: Welland Hospital, 65 Third St, Welland, ON L3B 4W6
Hours: Continental Nights (2000 to 0800 hrs)
Payrate: $22.91/hr.
Averaging Agreement: Overtime is Averaging Agreement after 88 Hours

Essential Job Functions:
- Ensures all standing orders and scheduled daily activities are carried out as required for each shift
- Ensures site staff adhere to all Paladin Security and site security policies and procedures
- Plans and implements shift work schedules
- Ensures all Security Guards have received the mandatory training
- Attendance Management
- Performs security audits
- Documents and investigates security incidents and complaints
- Provide proactive and reactive security patrols.
- Communicates any concerns/issues with Client Service Manager
- Any additional duties and assignments can be requested.
Requirements:
- A Valid Ontario Security Guard License
- Proficient in English (both oral and written)
- Degree in Police Foundations, Protection Security and Investigations, Criminology, or Border Services would be an asset
- Previous one year experience in healthcare security, law enforcement, or a related field preferred.
- Proof of double Covid Vaccination
- Immunization Record (measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, and TB skin tests 1 and 2)
- Valid First Aid and CPR Level C Certification
- Able to provide a clean shaven face in order to pass a N95 mask fit test
- Must be able to provide certifications in Use of Force (UOF) and Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB)
- Applicants who do not possess these certifications can opt into Paladin's Use of Force (UOF)/Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB) training program prior to their onboarding training to ensure they meet the requirements of the position
- Legally authorized to work in Canada
Please be aware: The UOF/MOAB certification is not paid as it is a pre-employment requisite; however, Paladin will cover all the costs of the training with a 6-month commitment to the position/availability
