About the Role:
The YMCA Experience team in our Centres are often the first point of contact for our new and regular YMCA members, playing an important role in building and maintaining relationships with our members. As a volunteer member of our YMCA Experience team, you will provide quality customer service and support to our members.
Responsibilities:
- Provide a fulsome welcome experience greeting members to the Centre and validate memberships.
- Understand the needs of our members and provide resources on applicable programs and services.
- Administrative duties as assigned.
- Role model a personal commitment to a healthy lifestyle.
- Demonstrate YMCA values in all interactions by delivering service responsibility, honesty and with care.
- Respect the confidential information of members/participants/guests.
- Learn customer service best practices using our YMCA Experience Manual and training from peers and supervisors.
- Ensure an excellent impression by maintaining a clean and organized work area.
Qualifications:
- Ability to make others feel like the YMCA is a place they belong.
- Previous customer service experience is an asset.
- Able to obtain a Police Information Check with Vulnerable Sector Search.
