POSITION SUMMARY

Under the supervision of the Supervisor External Transportation, the Transportation Coordinator will be involved in the regular subcontracting operations for shipments of finished products and/or raw materials in collaboration with our transportation partners.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Select and assign the appropriate transportation partner for each shipping request;
  • Monitor shipments to prevent delivery delays;
  • Communicate effectively about issues with the relevant warehouses;
  • Follow up with the sales and purchasing teams regarding the shipment of their orders;
  • Use our booking tool to schedule deliveries and shipments;
  • Inform warehouses of any unforeseen events;
  • Document transportation-related issues to address them and improve operations;
  • Assist the transportation team with various reports to maintain and extract;

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Operations Management, or any other relevant combination of education and experience;
  • One (1) to two (2) years of relevant experience in transportation;
  • Knowledge of SAP ERP system (an asset);
  • Proficiency in French and English, both spoken and written because this positiion requiert to communicate with our Ontario and USA facilities;
  • Ability to manage priorities and work under pressure;
  • Strong team collaboration skills;
