About this Opportunity
Facilities Management is seeking a Manager, Data and Program Integration to strengthen how the department plans, measures, and delivers services through integrated data, reporting, and program coordination. This role supports evidence-based decision-making, service improvement, and alignment with university-wide priorities.
Reporting to the Director, Finance and Administration, the Manager works closely with leadership and cross-functional teams to coordinate departmental planning and documentation, develop data analytics and reporting tools, and support sustainability reporting, audits, and key initiatives.

The salary range for this position is:
- Recruitment range: $83,094 - $91,625 starting salary determined by the PEA Collective Agreement.
- Performance range: $108,088 salary range ceiling is available through annual performance increases.
Job Summary
Mandate:
The Manager, Data and Program Integration provides strategic leadership that strengthens Facilities Management’s ability to plan, measure, and deliver services through integrated data, documentation, and program oversight. The position ensures that FMGT has reliable, consistent processes for gathering, analyzing, and sharing information; maintains coordinated and up-to-date departmental plans and operational procedures; and supports cross-functional collaboration that aligns Facilities Management’s work with broader institutional directions. The role exists to advance a cohesive, data-informed culture that enables effective decision-making, improves service delivery, and supports UVic’s long-term priorities. Receives daily supervision, guidance, and support from the Director, Finance and Administration, while receiving functional direction from the Executive Director, FMGT to ensure alignment with department-wide strategies, plans, and priorities.
Objectives:
- Establish consistent, integrated processes for departmental planning, reporting, and documentation to support reliable year-over-year continuity.
- Strengthen FMGT’s ability to use accurate, timely, and accessible data to support operational decisions, strategic planning, and performance measurement.
- Improve the quality and consistency of service delivery by enabling collaboration, knowledge sharing, and cross-unit coordination.
- Ensure sustainability metrics, departmental plans, SOPs, and audit responses are developed, maintained, and updated through structured, repeatable processes.
- Enhance communication and responsiveness by supporting effective stakeholder engagement and ensuring clear, user-focused reporting tools and resources.
Job Requirements
Skills and Qualifications:
An undergraduate degree in a relevant subject plus a minimum of five (5) years of related experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Knowledge, skills, and abilities include:
- Advanced problem-solving, analytical, and critical-thinking skills.
- Demonstrated skill in researching and analyzing complex information.
- Experience using data analytics and visualization tools, including Power BI.
- Experience developing action plans and managing projects.
- Experience in sustainability reporting or environmental data analysis.
- Ability to prepare concise, logical reports to present recommendations and solutions.
- Ability to translate data and statistics for different audiences.
- Experience with a variety of database applications.
- Thorough working knowledge of Facilities Management functions.
- Experience with enterprise management systems (e.g., FMIS360, Apex) and digital platforms (website, Intranet).
- Demonstrated experience leading and motivating a team in a unionized environment.
- Ability to collaborate, build, and maintain positive relationships with diverse individuals and work effectively in a team environment.
- Commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive and respectful working and learning environment.
