We are currently recruiting an Accounting Representative for a full time contract opportunity on our Finance team in our Kitchener Head Office.
This is a contract position until September 2027.
In this role, you will join a team dedicated to providing exemplary professional accounting services. Reporting to the Manager, Accounting and Payments, Accounting Representatives participate in job rotation, collectively responsible for daily accounting operations; financial reporting; processing accuracy and compliance with established accounting principles and practices; effective collaboration with other departments to ensure smooth processes; and excellence in service to internal staff members, Kindred members, and vendors about payables, receivables, foreign exchange, and other related accounting matters.
Specific responsibilities of this position include:
- Provide effective cash management by monitoring daily cash activities
- Prepare and post journal entries
- Monitor and perform scheduled account analysis

As the ideal candidate, you are self-confident and have a passion for customer service. You are methodical, organized, have an ability to handle detail work with accuracy and precision. You're comfortable with data and technology and easily adapt to systems and applications. You show initiative and are comfortable contributing to the organization both as part of a collaborative team and working independently. Finally, you demonstrate an active commitment to Kindred's shared values and purpose.
Plus, you bring your qualifications and experience:
- College or University graduate, ideally in business, accounting or finance
- 2-3 years related work experience
- Familiarity with financial services would be an asset
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
