Client Technology Manager-Enterprise AI Location: Regina or Saskatoon, SK

Number of Positions: 1

Salary: $86,109 $114,811 (Based on education and experience)

Type of Position: Permanent Full Time

GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITY Responsible for defining and leading the technical architecture of Enterprise AI solutions, ensuring they align with SaskTel’s strategic objectives. Provides architectural leadership across AI platforms, infrastructure, and data systems, enabling scalable, secure, and compliant AI capabilities. Collaborates with cross-functional teams to guide the implementation of AI solutions and acts as the technical authority for the Enterprise AI team.

Specific Accountabilities

  • Leads the development of enterprise-grade AI solution blueprints, ensuring architectural patterns are scalable, reusable, and aligned with governance standards.
  • Owns the complete technical design of AI platforms and ensures seamless integration with infrastructure, data, and security systems for operational readiness.
  • Provides technical mentorship and guidance to the Enterprise AI team, fostering best practices in MLOps, data engineering, and model deployment.
  • Evaluates new technologies and frameworks to continuously improve AI architecture and delivery capabilities.
  • Tracks and reports on architecture readiness, deployment timelines, and alignment with strategic and compliance objectives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience in enterprise architecture and AI solution delivery.
  • Minimum of five years of experience designing and implementing AI architecture across cloud and on-premises environments, with hands-on expertise in AI platforms, MLOps pipelines, and data governance frameworks.
  • Strong ability to communicate technical concepts across business and technical teams, with a focus on documentation and solution clarity.
  • Strong team leader and member, able to work effectively in chairing or serving on multi-disciplinary committees while influencing the performance of others.
  • Knowledge of the Telco industry, SaskTel departments/subsidiaries organization structures, operations and relationships.
  • Experience leading technical teams or initiatives in AI, data engineering, or infrastructure domains.
  • Professional certification as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.), Information Systems Professional (ISP) or equivalent designation is desirable.
  • Certifications in cloud architecture (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), enterprise architecture (e.g., TOGAF), or AI/ML platforms are considered assets.

  • Organizes and directs work including prioritizing assignments, establishing objectives, providing regular performance feedback, and taking necessary corrective action as may be required.
  • Ensures all relevant policies are understood and complied with, including but not limited to safety, health, environmental, Code of Business Conduct, privacy, cybersecurity, AI usage/utilization, and authorization and signing authorities.
  • Oversees financial activities within area of responsibility. Creates and/or monitors annual operating and capital budgets, keeping tabs on budget adherence, and taking necessary actions to address budget variances.
  • Responsible for negotiation, execution and/or enforcement of contracts for obtaining goods and services related to the area of responsibility.
  • Accountable for proactively identifying, inspiring, and acting on opportunities to innovate and drive process improvements, develop growth initiatives, and improve revenue and/or reduce costs. Driving valuable customer experiences and employee engagement, improving sustainability, and demonstrates commitment to the communities that we serve.

This is an on-site position located at the location(s) above. The successful candidate must be located within the province of Saskatchewan.
