Position Overview: As Contracts and Pricing Analyst – Rentals you will be engaged in all aspects of contract creation, completion and review for National and Strategic customers as we start to develop deeper partnerships to enable our growth strategy. Also, a key component is consistent review of our book rate pricing, working with Rouse analytics to ensure competitive rates, building price files for large strategic contracts and tenders and managing rebate programs. This will include analysis of the entire rental fleet, TCRS and Heavy rents to ensure we remain competitive and adjust to the markets accordingly. Provide data to management to clearly indicate opportunities to improve rates, assess the competitive landscape and ensure maximum utilization of the fleet

Job Description: Contracts Management

  • Manage all strategic and National contracts, current and new.
  • Collaborate with other departments, commercial, legal, finance including MRA/MSA to ensure compliance.
  • Manage contracts in progress and up for renewal and initiate reviews as necessary
  • Respond to and complete all relevant RFP/RFQ’s
  • Review appropriate industry reports for relevant competitive information (Dodge, MERCS, Canoe, IIR, PECS)
  • Manage contracts in a central repository for easy access and storage, coordinate with other Business units on cross-over as necessary.
  • Provide online billing support where required where third party billing systems are involved, ensure PO’s are open and accurate and assist AR where required to ensure on time payment
  • Provide regular customer contract review on spending, rebate status and sustainability progress as required. ]

Pricing Program Management

  • Lead a comprehensive, proactive market pricing program that includes ongoing competitive rate analysis, market availability reviews, demand forecasting, utilization sensitivity analysis, and monitoring of industry pricing intelligence sources (e.g., Rouse). Develop pricing insights that identify risks, opportunities, and optimal rate strategies across all rental product lines.
  • Analyze complex pricing challenges—including lost sales, underutilization, margin erosion, and price elasticity—and recommend structural pricing changes. Design improvements to pricing frameworks, rate cards, seasonal pricing models, and discount governance. Prepare business cases that quantify financial impacts and operational considerations.
  • Own the quarterly pricing review cycle, ensuring pricing structures remain aligned to market conditions and internal profitability targets. Coordinate pricing review meetings, lead cross-functional discussions, and manage approval workflows. Ensure Rentalman and related systems are updated accurately and consistently with approved pricing changes.

Data Analysis, Insights & Reporting

  • Develop dashboards, scenario models, and analytics that provide visibility into pricing performance, margin trends, competitive gaps, discounting behavior, and utilization patterns. Produce monthly pricing insights reports and communicate key findings to leadership. Leverage multiple data sources to create actionable insights.

Cross-Functional Influence & Collaboration

  • Collaborate with Sales, Mining, Strategic Accounts, Finance, Operations, and Rental leadership to align pricing strategies with customer needs, contract requirements, and fleet availability. Provide pricing expertise during RFPs, major tender submissions, and strategic account negotiations. Act as a subject-matter resource for less experienced team members.

Education & Experience:

  • Post-secondary degree strongly preferred in Business, Economics, Data Analytics, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in pricing, analytics, rentals revenue management, commercial analysis, or related analytic work.
  • Demonstrated experience conducting pricing analysis, competitive market intelligence, revenue optimization, forecasting, or financial modeling.
  • Experience presenting recommendations to leadership and influencing pricing outcomes is preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency with Excel and data analysis tools; experience with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar) preferred.
