Job Title: Associate Director – Humanitarian Migrants Project
Location: St. John’s, NL
Position Type: 1 full-time position
Closing date: October 24, 2025, or until filled
Reporting to the Director of Resettlement and Settlement Services, while working very closely with the Director of Employment Services, t****he Associate Director – Humanitarian Migrants will be responsible for
overseeing the delivery and reporting of employment and settlement services provided to humanitarian migrant/refugee claimants arriving in Newfoundland and Labrador. Managing a team of career practitioners, employer engagement, case management, housing and community-focused staff, this role includes oversight of service delivery during the pre-arrival and (re)settlement process. The position is responsible for
budget management, reporting, and stakeholder relations.
Roles and Responsibilities:

Oversight of client services and delivery model aligned with the service standards set out in the funding agreement and in a manner consistent with a trauma informed approach
-
Provide overall supervision and guidance to the team, including providing daily guidance on arising issues and problem solve with team members to ensure effective program delivery
-
Support Managers in the planning and organization of the team, its assignments and activities
-
Collaborate with colleagues/teams as needed for the purpose of sharing information and developing wrap-around supports for refugee claimant arrivals.

Inform proposal development including financial requirements
-
Support the management of the Humanitarian Migrants budget
-
Liaise with stakeholders and partners to collaborate for project and client success
-
Enhance program delivery by developing streamlined processes and procedures and incorporate services to address emerging issues
-
Ensures client services data is captured accurately and in a timely manner
-
Create both data and narrative reports on a regular basis
-
Perform other duties as required
Qualifications and Experience:
-
3-5 years of professional experience in a similar role
-
Post-secondary degree in human services/social sciences or equivalent combination of training and experience
-
Competency in managing a service delivery model with ability to adjust to meet client needs
-
Skilled in reporting both narrative and data reporting
-
Experience in creating and managing project budget
-
Experience in leading and coaching teams in a service delivery environment
-
Strong interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills (oral and written)
-
Possess cultural awareness and sensitivity in working with a diverse client group
-
Strong in managing community partnerships and works collaboratively
-
Excellent knowledge of MS Office Suite specifically
-
Knowledge of the settlement process and issues facing immigrants and refugees during their integration process an asset
Conditions of Employment:

Legal authorization to work in Canada
-
Flexible to work outside of core hours (Monday-Friday, 9:00am - 5:00pm)
-
Valid class 5 NL driver’s license and daily access to a reliable vehicle is required

Ability to travel is
required -
Position is subject to a satisfactory Criminal Record Screening and Vulnerable Sector Check from the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary

Valid First Aid Certificate is an asset
