Position Summary Manitoba’s Huddle Integrated Youth Services (IYS) initiative drives systems transformation, innovation, and impact across the province. Its goal is to improve how youth and their families access mental health, substance use, and wellness supports. Rooted in the internationally recognized IYS movement, Huddle collaborates with communities, service providers, Indigenous leaders, policy makers, and funders, and connects with similar initiatives nationally through the federal IYS network.

United Way Winnipeg serves as the administrative host and backbone team for Huddle. In this role, the backbone team convenes partners, supports co-design processes, and drives systems change through project management, strategic planning, knowledge mobilization, and evaluation. The team emphasizes meaningful engagement with youth, families, service providers, Indigenous leaders, policy makers, and funders, applying systems thinking, social innovation, and continuous improvement to strengthen the initiative.

Reporting to the Systems Transformation Lead, Huddle the Implementation Support Manager, Huddle provides guidance and support on the implementation of the IYS model at the Huddle youth hubs, with a special emphasis on two new youth hubs in development - one in Portage la Prairie and one in northern Manitoba. This role will also work closely with the Systems Transformation Lead to help manage key strategic projects, scale initiatives, and support service partnerships. Through this work, the role advances Huddle's vision of integrated, accessible, and youth-centered mental health and wellness supports across Manitoba.

RESPONSIBILTIES

  • Lead and manage activities that support the two new Huddle youth hubs in development, from start-up and soft launch through to grand opening events. This may include support for site location selection/renovations, governance, partnership development, service delivery, budget development, reporting requirements, and/or communications
  • Lead and manage activities that support the existing Huddle youth hubs in their ongoing development and adaptation in the IYS model to fit their community's strengths and needs. This may include assessing new pilot projects, supporting on-the-ground site operations, and/or supporting the implementation of initiative-wide projects
  • Lead and/or support the development of formalized processes, templates, workflows, forms, agreements, resources or other knowledge products to support site development
  • Facilitate an environment of continuous learning to ensure youth receive the best possible care, at Huddle youth hubs and within the broader Huddle IYS initiative.
  • Support the development and management of comprehensive project plans to advance IYS-focused systems change and co-design initiatives.
  • Support measurement and reporting to track IYS impact and progress on key deliverables.
  • Integrate Huddle’s core values in all aspects of work, promoting equitable, youth-centered approaches.
  • Responsibilities include occasional travel to Huddles sites outside of Winnipeg (in Brandon, Portage, Selkirk and Northern MB)

Qualifications/Experience You are a high-energy team player passionate about site operations, innovation, and the IYS model’s potential to improve youth and family wellness. The ideal candidate will bring the following qualifications or an equivalent combination of education, related experience, skills and interests:

  • Post-secondary education in Social Work, Public Administration, Community Development, Project Management, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of recent experience in community development, continuous improvement, change management, and/or capacity-building and leadership development in a non-profit or public service environment.
  • Proactive, collaborative, and skilled at building strong relationships with diverse partners, teams, and networks.
  • Strong knowledge of and experience with managing the realities of on-the-ground operations in a non-profit/community development setting.
