SUMMARY

We are seeking an experienced and organized IT Asset and Support Coordinator to manage our IT asset inventory and provide basic technical support to employees. This role is essential for ensuring that our equipment and software are well-managed while supporting the smooth day-to-day operations of the organization.

The ideal candidate has strong experience in IT asset management and a keen interest in user support. You will be the primary point of contact for managing the IT equipment lifecycle—from acquisition to disposal—while serving as the first line of support for common technical issues.

You will work closely with IT, Purchasing, and Finance departments to manage inventory, anticipate future needs, and ensure software license compliance. Your responsibilities will also include maintaining inventory systems, performing regular audits, and improving existing processes. Excellent communication skills and attention to detail are essential for this position.

RESPONSIBILITIES

IT Asset Management

  • Maintain accurate records of all hardware and software, including serial numbers, purchase dates, and warranties.
  • Implement and manage IT asset tracking systems (e.g., CMDB).
  • Coordinate with the Purchasing department for acquisition, configuration, and disposal of assets.
  • Ensure compliance with software license agreements.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits to ensure data accuracy.
  • Assist in forecasting future equipment needs and support the budgeting process.

Basic Technical Support

  • Serve as the initial point of contact for employee technical support requests.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve common issues related to computers, printers, software, and peripherals (Level 1 support).
  • Set up and prepare new workstations for new employees.
  • Assist employees in using basic software and IT tools.
  • Document support incidents and solutions to build the internal knowledge base.

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • College diploma (DEC) or bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in IT asset or inventory management.
  • Basic knowledge of operating systems (Windows, macOS), office software, and peripherals.
  • Experience with inventory management systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Lansweeper, or similar tools).
  • Familiarity with ITIL best practices or other service management frameworks.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-focused approach.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a dynamic environment.
  • Bilinguism (English/French)
