If that sounds like you, we’d love to meet you. We’re growing in the Saskatoon office and are on the lookout for a full-time payroll specialist to join our dynamic team.

Responsibilities:

Timesheets and Payroll

  • Weekly Timesheet Management: Review and post timesheets in Deltek VantagePoint in an efficient manner.

  • Payroll Preparation: Prepare bi-weekly payroll information for our Canadian team in Powerpay, ensuring completion within deadlines.

  • Work with our USA Team: Support our local Bookkeepers with payroll information for our USA employees on a bi-weekly basis, making sure everything is accurate and on time.

  • Overtime Calculations: Prepare bi-weekly and monthly overtime calculations for all employees, aligning with compliance and employment legislation.

  • Year-End Processes: Assist with payroll year-end processes, helping us wrap up the year efficiently.

  • Reporting: Create and distribute timely payroll reporting each week and month to management to support informed decision making and continuous improvement.

Personnel Records

  • Ensure correct records of employment, including employment income and garnishments.

  • Manage employee benefits allotment in Deltek, making sure our team accesses their benefits.

Administration and Reporting

  • Answer employees' payroll-related questions and provide friendly support.

  • Dive into and resolve any issues related to employee reporting and information in Deltek.

  • Contribute to completing our monthly operations reports, including Billed Efficiency and Utilization Rate.

  • Support with month-end reporting as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Attention to Detail: Appreciate the little things that make a big difference.

  • Communication Skills: Competent written and oral communication skills are essential.

  • Payroll Knowledge: Strong knowledge with Canadian and provincial payroll law; US payroll knowledge is a plus!

  • Designation: An active PCP Designation is essential.

  • Time Management & Organization: Strong skills in planning and organizing tasks.

  • Initiative: Ability to creatively resolve tasks or problems that arise.
