What you’ll be doing
You’ll be joining the Enterprise Voice team at CIBC. The Senior Consultant, Telecommunications role is responsible for providing overall engineering efforts as the voice representative for our voice platforms including MS Teams Voice and its component parts, such as Poly hard phones and other end point devices and Poly LENS, Oracle SBC expertise and SIP Signalling knowledge for supporting L3 issues and overall engineering capabilities, e911, leadership for interfacing with vendors such as Microsoft, Poly, Oracle, Bell, TELUS, Intrado and others and collaborating with internal partners, maintain enterprise telecommunications devices and services in compliance with applicable service standards, methodologies, policies, and processes. Knowledge of trader voice including IPC systems, network engineering, L3 support and NICE recording will be considered an asset. The role troubleshoots and engineers complex issues and problems, applying technical expertise to lead support or engineering efforts for devices and systems, document and analyze solutions, and recommend improvements that improve voice, data, and network utilization and capacity. The Senior Consultant, Telecommunications is an engineering role to support of the CIBC multiple voice platforms globally.
At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. You’ll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you’ll spend 1-2 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote.
How you’ll succeed
- Subject Matter Expertise - You will act as a consultant and specialist in the voice telephony space in CIBC. Your vast industry experience and knowledge of various technologies will be used to provide incident resolution, solution design, and continuous improvement opportunities.
- Vendor and Service Governance – You will ensure policies and standards are adhered to throughout the lifecycle of the product or service, and you will conduct routine vendor operational governance management.
- Strategy & Roadmap – You will provide engineering consultation, and leadership for various solutions aimed at strengthening and maturing our enterprise voice services in CIBC, including service lifecycle management, currency, and optimizations.
Who you are
- You can demonstrate experience in: MS Teams Voice implementation for enterprise initiatives, CISCO Unified Communications Manager, CISCO Jabber, Teams, SIP-T and PSTN Networking Technologies, SIP, Cisco Cube, Oracle SBCs. Strong Asset if you’ve worked in Tech Support working in fast paced and demanding environments, strong as well if you have worked in a help desk or support role . STRONG Asset if you are fluent in French.
