Overview
Our Calgary-based client is seeking a SharePoint Business Analyst / Change Management Consultant for a 3-6 month part-time contract (approximately 20 hours/week). This role will focus on improving SharePoint adoption across various business functions, including HR, Quality, and other operational teams.
The organization has invested in SharePoint but is not fully leveraging its capabilities, resulting in manual processes, inconsistent utilization, and missed efficiency opportunities. They are looking for a consultant who can assess current workflows, identify opportunities for improvement, educate stakeholders, and guide departments through practical SharePoint adoption strategies.
This is an ideal opportunity for a consultant who combines strong business analysis skills with change management, training, and stakeholder engagement experience.
Key Responsibilities
Engage with business stakeholders across departments including HR, Quality, Operations, and Corporate Services to understand current processes and challenges. Assess how teams are currently utilizing SharePoint and identify gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement. Recommend practical solutions and best practices to improve SharePoint adoption and user engagement. Facilitate workshops, discovery sessions, and stakeholder interviews to gather business requirements. Translate business needs into SharePoint-related process improvements and adoption strategies. Develop training materials, job aids, and user documentation. Deliver end-user training sessions and coaching to support organizational adoption.
Required Experience
Experience as a Business Analyst, Change Management Consultant, Organizational Change Management (OCM) Consultant, or SharePoint Consultant. Strong experience driving user adoption of Microsoft SharePoint environments. Demonstrated success leading process improvement and user enablement initiatives. Experience facilitating stakeholder workshops, requirements gathering sessions, and training programs. Strong understanding of business process mapping and workflow optimization. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Ability to influence and guide business users through change and adoption initiatives. Experience developing end-user training materials and documentation. Act as a trusted advisor to business leaders on how SharePoint can be leveraged to streamline workflows, document management, collaboration, and information sharing. Support change management activities including communications, stakeholder engagement, readiness assessments, and adoption planning. Measure and report on adoption progress, user feedback, and improvement opportunities. Collaborate with internal IT teams and business leaders to ensure solutions align with organizational objectives.
