Business Analyst – Finance

The Business Analyst – Finance role is part of the Global Functions Center of Excellence (CoE) at BRP, which includes Finance, HR, Procurement, Legal, GTS, Communications, and Marketing. The role focuses on supporting enterprise solutions, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives, and delivering projects to maximize the value of technology investments. The Business Analyst acts as the bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams to define business needs, ensure alignment of solutions, and support the implementation of strategic initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Elicit, analyze, and document business objectives (Why), business requirements (What), and solution and transition requirements (How) to define the scope and key features of initiatives.
• Manage requirements by prioritizing, categorizing, maintaining, and tracing them until solution go-live.
• Act as the link between business stakeholders and the initiative team (architects, development teams, etc.) regarding scope and key features.
• Facilitate collaboration, share information, and organize and lead workshops related to the initiative scope.
• Contribute to program and project planning activities.
• Understand both current and target solution architecture and review Solution Architecture Documents.
• Understand current and future business processes.
• Ensure that proposed solutions (business solutions, high-level solutions, and system specifications) meet requirements and key features.
• Identify, manage, and address gaps between requirements and delivered solutions until they are resolved.
• Support the definition of IS testing and integration test scenarios and assist the team during execution.
• Document the UAT testing strategy, assist business teams in defining UAT scenarios, and support them during execution.
• Contribute to change management strategy, project planning activities, and risk assessments.
• Support business handover and post-implementation operational support.
• Assist in documenting PMO processes related to Finance applications management.

Qualifications And Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in a Business Analyst role with full life-cycle application implementation.
• Strong understanding of Finance, including Treasury, Accounting, and Procurement functionalities.
• Strong understanding of procurement processes and customs activities.
• Experience working with third-party application integrations.
• Knowledge of security, compliance, and GDPR is considered an asset.
• Understanding of IS&T operational processes is an asset.
• Business knowledge and process design skills in a manufacturing environment are an asset.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive attitude.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with multiple levels of IT and business management.
• Strong organizational and analytical abilities.
• Knowledge of solutions such as Ariba, SAP GTS, or other management systems is an asset.
• Ability to work in both French and English (spoken and written).
